You are buying one skein of 100% mohair that is a fine, commercially processed boucle yarn. This skein yields approximately 100 yds. It is light and fluffy and perfect for lacey mohair garments-- shawls, cuffs, tams,mittens-- It is hand-painted to a colorway I call "Mountain Shadows"-- soft shades ranging from deep purple to pale violet and rose. It is a lovely yarn, and very rewarding to work with. Boucle mohair is a delight to work with. It is a thin yarn, but it's beautiful bubbly texture makes it perfect and warm for light weight garments. It's easy to use, and almost anything you make will look professional. Mohair comes from angora goats. Sometimes it is called angora yarn, but most of the time, people call it mohair yarn. By angora yarn, they mean angora rabbit yarn, although there are both angora goats, and angora rabbits.
